Intervals
Intervals are singular works or small limited releases that emerge outside the seasonal Offering cycle. They’re born from curiosity, experimentation, or unexpected inspiration. Rather than belonging to a larger body of work, each Interval stands on its own, honoring the sporadic rhythms of the creative practice.
INTERVAL NO. 1
Gaia
Before Tempered Earth, there was another chapter of my jewelry practice called Sol Eclectic. During that time, I found myself drawn to geometry—clean lines, sharp angles, and architectural forms—as well as many of the materials and textures that still call to me today.
Gaia sits at the intersection of those two seasons of my work. Originally created in 2019, its bold geometry belongs to that earlier practice, while its speckled ceramic beads, brass, and elemental palette seem to foreshadow what would eventually become Tempered Earth. When I rediscovered the final pair while preparing Offering No. 1, I was struck by how naturally they belonged beside the work I was making now.
This is the final remaining pair of Gaia—a small record of where I’ve been and a glimpse of where I was headed. Once collected, the design will not be reproduced.
INTERVAL NO. 2
Solara
Solara began as a prototype I lived with for a while after creating Radiance for Offering No. 1. I wore the first pair for a couple of weeks, adjusting the proportions and refining the motif until the design felt complete without losing its simplicity.
Like Radiance, the Baule-inspired brass pendants reminded me of the sun—not only as a source of light, but as a symbol of vitality, steadiness, and transformation. Paired with Ghana glass beads, African brass, and 14k gold-filled ear wires, Solara embodies that same warmth in a smaller form.
Grounded and radiant, they’re made to catch the light without asking for too much attention.
INTERVAL NO. 3
Relic
Relic began with a collection of handmade wire links I made around 2020 and never used. When I rediscovered them while sorting through old studio supplies, they still carried the small indentations and imperfections left by my pliers—marks I might once have tried to hide, but that now felt honest and worth preserving.
As the earrings came together, the articulated links began to resemble joints or bones, like individual pieces joining together to become whole. Paired with black sandcast beads and the worn character of African brass and Baule-inspired pendants, they seemed almost excavated rather than newly made. In their own way, they already had a history.
Relic honors the idea that beauty can ripen over time, and that sometimes unfinished work is simply waiting for the right moment to become what it was meant to be.
